DESIGN WORKSHOP

Tuesday, November 17 | 11:30am

Goldsmith Hall 2.308 (Dean's Conference Room)

Please join Design Workshop principal and UTSOA alumna, Claire Hempel, for a presentation on the firm's work, culture, and hiring practices on Tuesday, November 17 at 11:30am. The event will be held in Goldsmith Hall 2.308.

Claire Hempel joined Design Workshop in 2011 with a Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to returning to school for her Masters, she gained eight years of landscape architecture experience working in both the private and public sectors in Houston and in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area. She serves as the Operations Manager for the Austin office, as well as a project manager, overseeing a multitude of local, regional and international projects, including urban and regional parks, urban design, comprehensive community and environmental planning, and resort planning and design. Ms. Hempel's professional interests include public engagement, planning on multiple scales and empowering smaller communities by providing them with the proper tools to achieve environmental, economic and community goals.

Lunch will be served on a first come, first served basis.
