Susan Szenasy on Making Things in the Digital Age: Who's doing it, why, and what can we gain from this growing movement?

Susan S. Szenasy is Publisher/Editor in Chief of METROPOLIS, the award-winning New York City-based magazine of architecture and design at all scales. Since 1986, Szenasy has led the publication and its other media platforms in landmark design journalism, achieving domestic and international recognition. She is a pioneer in connecting environmental stewardship with design, and a tireless advocate for human-centered design. Szenasy is the director of two METROPOLIS films: Site Specific, The Legacy of Regional Modernism and Brilliant Simplicity, which highlights the lasting contributions of METROPOLIS Next Generation Competition honorees in research, collaboration, and innovation. A book of her writings and talks, titled Szenasy, Design Advocate, was recently published by Metropolis Books/DAP.
