VRC Workshop | Friday Night Light Painting

Friday March 23, 2018 , 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Friday Night Lights

Light painting is a photographic technique used to light subjects—often in dramatic and colorful ways—in low light environments by using handheld light sources. This event will allow beginner and experienced photographers alike the opportunity to experiment and collaborate in creating unique photos of architecture on campus. Participants will gather in the VRC for a quick presentation on the basics of long exposure photography. Then, participants will break into small groups and, as the sun sets, will have a chance to try their hand at painting with light.

This event will utilize equipment available for checkout from the VRC, but participants should also feel free to bring their own flashlights and glowsticks.

If possible, participants should plan to wear dark clothing.
