Workshop: Local Materials

Tuesday April 3, 2018 , 5 to 8 p.m.
Papercrete

Join us for our final workshop of the semester! We will learn how to up-cycle a local waste material produced on campus to create Papercrete blocks. Participants will work in groups to create a series of test blocks for sample testing, recording observations of the process and lessons learned along the way. The workshop will be led by Zach Rabon, President of Mason Greenstar, and Tim White, of Safe Healthy Homes. James Guza, Mail Service Manager at UT, will also be joining us to discuss our campus-wide high-security paper shredding service, and the challenging "paper fluff" it produces. Participation limited; RSVP by email

This workshop is part of the Green Materials Lab series funded by UT Green Fee.
